President of ECOSF Visits IRIS

The President of the Economic Cooperation Organization Science Foundation (ECOSF), Prof. Dr. Manzoor H. Soomro visited Isfahan Regional Center for Technology Incubator and Science Park Development under the auspices of UNESCO (IRIS) on the 9th of January, 2017. ECO is a regional cooperation organization for countries of West and Central Asia including Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Republic of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan and its science foundation aims to Promote Science, Technology & Innovation based Economic Development in the ECO Region.
This visit was hoped to assist in the further familiarization of the foundation with the activities taking place at IRIS and Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT). For this purpose the management teams of IRIS and ISTT met with Prof. Soomro and presented him with a short introduction to ISTT and IRIS after which possible ways for mutual cooperation was discussed. An invitation of participation in the 13th National Sheikh Bahai Technopreneurship Festival was extended to interested scientific and technological professionals of the Eco member countries whom were in contact with the president and the possibility of organizing a joint training workshop between IRIS and ECOSF was also raised.
